HPCI (Hot Plug Controller Interface)

The Hot Plug Controller Interface is used to implement hotplug controllers for new system platforms for UnixWare 7. See ``Hotplug devices'' for general information about hotplug drivers.

Hot plug controller drivers must be installed with a Master(4dsp) file that includes lines such as the following:

   $version 2
   $interface ddi 8mp
   $interface hpci 1
HPCI is implemented on UnixWare systems as a versioned interface; see ``DDI interface versioning''.
