Administering SCO OpenServer

System security

An important consideration is protecting the system and its data from unauthorized access. Your SCO OpenServer system includes security mechanisms designed to meet the C2 class of ``trust'' as defined by the Trusted Computer System Evaluation Criteria (also known as the Orange Book). As the system administrator, you can configure the protection mechanisms to the requirements of your site. ``Administering user accounts'' explains how to add users to the system and how to configure the default security scheme. For additional information on protecting your system, consult ``Maintaining system security''.
