The SCO Visual Tcl environment

vtcl environment variables


CHARM
When set, this variable specifies to use the cm_vtcld character server. The presence of this variable overrides any setting of the DISPLAY variable.

DISPLAY
When set to a real display, specifies to use the Motif server.

VTCL_DEBUG
When set, turns on debugging output for the interpreter, server, and commands. Values greater than 10 capture send data, greater than 20 capture receive data.

VTCL_DISPLAY
Specifies the display to which the xm_vtcld server writes. For example:
   VTCL_DISPLAY=davew.rain.com:0.0
This value becomes the DISPLAY value for the server, and overrides the DISPLAY value set by the interpreter.

VTCL_HELPTRACE
Turns on the output of help widget sums. See ``Dumping the widget sums'' for more information.

VTCL_OPEN_TIMEOUT
Specifies the number of seconds to wait for a pipe connection to open before timing out.
