Error messages
When using the mapfile option, ld
can return the following types of error messages:
Warnings-
Do not stop execution of the
linker nor prevent the linker from producing a
viable a.out.
Fatal Errors-
Stop execution of the linker at the
point at which the fatal error occurred.
Either warning: or fatal:
appears at the beginning of each error message.
Error messages are not numbered.
