Configuration files
A number of files exist that set configuration parameters.
They are:
/etc/conf/pack.d/ipx/ipx_tune.h-
contains parameters that configure the
Internet Packet Exchange (IPX) protocol.
See
ipx_tune.h(SFF)
for more information.

/etc/conf/pack.d/spx/spx_tune.h-
contains parameters that configure the
Sequence Packet Exchange (SPX) protocol.
See
spx_tune.h(SFF)
for more information.

/etc/conf/pack.d/nvt/nvt_tune.h-
contains parameters that configure the
Novell Virtual Terminal (NVT) protocol.
See
nvt_tune.h(SFF)
for more information.

/etc/ipx.d/NPSConfig-
contains parameters that specify SAP, NVT,
and LAN configuration information.
See
NPSConfig(SFF)
for more information.

To tune the performance of a protocol:
-
Edit the values in the corresponding
_tune.h file.
 -
Rebuild the kernel.
 -
Reboot the system.

NPSConfig is located in
/etc/ipx.d/NPSConfig and is read by
NPSD, NVTD, and SAPD,
for their initial values.
It contains parameters that specify:
-
NVT configuration information
 -
SAP configuration information
 -
LAN configuration information
