Specifying attachment types
Mail
attachments
may have several different types depending on their contents.
Their types are indicated by the symbol that appears in the
message heading. See
``The attachment type symbols''
for illustrations of the attachment symbols.
Types of attachments include:
Audio-
Audio data (sound).
Data-
Data of an unspecified type.
Message-
An electronic mail message with headers.
Microsoft® Excel-
A document produced using Microsoft Excel.
Microsoft® PowerPoint®-
A document produced using Microsoft PowerPoint.
Microsoft® Word-
A document produced using Microsoft Word.
Multipart-
A message that includes one or more attachments.
Picture-
A graphical image.
PostScript®-
Postscript output.
Text-
Plain ASCII text. This is the default attachment type.
Video-
Video data.
