Configuring the Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP)

Example entry for a dedicated serial endpoint

Assume that the following information was entered with the PPP Manager:

Assume that all other values are defaults. The resulting /etc/ppphosts entry appears as:

   ppp-tokyo:ppp-nile staticdev=/dev/tty1a speed=19200 auth=pap\
   authtmout=2 name=tokyo noipaddr
