Configuring the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)

Getting a subset of routing information

The getsub(ADMN) command is similar to the getroute command except that it could be used to limit the routing information to a subset of selected IP networks and subnetworks. Its syntax is getsub node community.

The following shows sample output from two getsub invocations:

getsub example

# getsub paris public 10.0.118
Route to: 10.0.118 via: 1 10.0.246 on if: 1 metric: 2 type: 4 proto: 8

# getsub paris public 10.0 Route to: 10.0.118 via: 1 10.0.246 on if: 1 metric: 2 type: 4 proto: 8 Route to: 10.0.246 via: 1 10.0.246 on if: 1 metric: 0 type: 3 proto: 2
